Lessons Learned event: share career advice with a 5 minute story

Earlier this year, I founded an invite-only women’s professional development & storytelling event series in San Francisco. The goal was to get a group of smart, dynamic women leaders in a room to share their best career advice with one another. I think that the way to become stronger collectively, is to share what we know and what we’ve learned as individuals. 

The format was “lightning talks,” so we had 10 speakers with 5 minute stories, all told live without PowerPoint slides.

The events far exceeded my expectations. The hard-earned wisdom and advice was worth its weight in gold, and I’ve since made several decisions based on stories I remembered from those events.

The amazing speakers and attendees included folks in tech, medicine, finance, PR, law, design, nonprofit, investment banking. I’m excited to announce that we’ll be having an event in New York City in a few weeks. Different coast, same concept!
