Here's to good wine, good friends, and good marketing

I went to Palomino for happy hour with a friend this week.  Upon leaving, the hostess handed us a 4"x6" flier for a complimentary bottle of wine if you order two entrees.  This is a great way boost sales in January, which is traditionally a slow month for retailers, and perhaps for restaurants, too.  I suspect that most of their regular financial district clientele will continue to order from the all-day happy hour menu.  Still, it’s a smart gesture to target existing customers to try Palomino for dinner.
